The 9th National Conference on Probability Theory of the Probability and Statistics Branch of the Chinese Mathematical Society was held in Changsha.

From June 12th to 16th, 2025, the 9th National Conference on Probability Theory of the Probability and Statistics Branch of the Chinese Mathematical Society, hosted by the Probability and Statistics Branch of the Chinese Mathematical Society and organized by the School of Mathematics and Statistics of Central South University, was successfully held in Changsha. Professor Chen Songxi, President of the Probability and Statistics Branch of the Chinese Mathematical Society and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Li Zenghu, Chairman of the Academic Committee of this conference, Professor Jiao Yong, Dean of the Undergraduate School of Central South University, and nearly 400 experts and scholars from nearly 100 universities and research institutions at home and abroad participated in the opening ceremony and related academic activities.

The conference, themed "Promoting the Development of Probability Theory and Related Disciplines, Sharing the Latest Academic Achievements, Exploring Key Issues in the Development of Disciplines, and Promoting Academic Exchange Among Scholars," featured presentations by eight experts and scholars, including Professor Wu Liming from the University of Clermont-Auvergne (France) and Harbin Institute of Technology, Professor Zhang Xicheng from Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Zhang Tusheng from the University of Science and Technology of China, Researcher Wang Zhenfu from Peking University, Professor Lü Qi from Sichuan University, Professor Du Kai from Fudan University, Professor Liu Wei from Wuhan University, and Researcher Xiao Hui from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The conference also features 30 groups with 119 separate presentations, covering topics such as Markov processes, stochastic analysis and its applications, stochastic systems and control, and Markov decision processes.

The National Conference on Probability Theory, established in 1980, has been successfully held nine times to date. This conference aims to strengthen communication between probability theory and related disciplines, expand application scenarios, cultivate more professionals dedicated to mathematical research, and provide a platform for academic exchange among probability theorists nationwide.
