In this talk, we will introduce the index iteration theory and the generalized common index jump theorem, and talk about its applications to the closed geodesic problem.

个人简历：段华贵，南开大学数学科学学院教授，博导，研究方向为非线性分析与动力系统。近年来，在哈密顿系统的周期轨道和微分几何中的闭测地线等方面取得系统性的研究成果，论文发表在J. Diff. Geom.，Crelle，Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.，Adv. Math.，J. Funct. Anal., Math. Z.等数学期刊上。
