报告题目:Sz. Nagy-Foias model theory and matrix-valued truncated Toeplitz operators

报告摘要:In this paper, we will give a brief introduction to Sz. Nagy-Foias model theory to motivate the model space on which we will study the compression of Toeplitz operators. These operators have deep connections with holomorphic function theory and approximation theory, they also have found many applications such as signal processing, system science and control theory. Some basic properties of these operators will be discussed and several open questions for these operators will be mentioned.

报告人简介:Caixing Gu,美国加州州立理工大学(California Polytechnic State University)教授。1994年在印第安纳大学(Indiana University)获得博士学位。主要从事算子理论、矩阵分析、系统和控制理论的研究。在Adv. Math., Math. Ann., J. Funct. Anal., Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.,SIAM J. Control Optim., SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl., SIAM J. Math. Anal. Appl.等杂志发表文章80余篇。
