题 目:The magnetic expulsion and Prandtl-Batchelor flows in MHD
摘 要:This talk will discuss the magnetic expulsion phenomenon in the two-dimensional steady MHD equations. We will show that if the boundary condition is a perturbation of rigid rotation, there exists magnetohydrodynamic motion within the unit disk such that the oscillations of the magnetic field are concentrated near the boundary and can be characterized by boundary layer equations. Meanwhile, the magnetic field inside the vortex maintains rigid rotation, with its angular component determined by the circulation of the magnetic field at the boundary. We will briefly present the solution to the boundary layer equations and analyze the stability of the vanishing viscosity limit. This is joint work with Prof. Zhiwu Lin and Dr. Jianfeng Zhao.
