报告摘要:In this expository talk, we will discuss the analogue of Mark Kac’s problem "Can One Hear the Shape of a Drum?" in several complex variables: To what extent does the spectrum of the complex Laplacian determine the geometry of a domain in several complex variables? It has been shown that spectral behavior of the $\bar{\partial}$-Neumann Laplacian can be used to determine geometric properties such as pseudoconvexity in $\mathbb{C}^{n}$ and finite type conditions in $\mathbb{C}^{2}$. We shall review these results and discuss relevant recent developments. This talk is accessible to graduate students and non-experts.

报告人简介:付斯奇,卡姆登市罗格斯大学数学科学系系主任,教授。厦门大学客座教授。1984年于华南师范大学获学士学位,1987年于北京大学获硕士学位,1994年于美国华盛顿大学获博士学位。主持参加美国和中国国家科学基金会基金项目多项,目前任国际SCI刊物《Journal of Geometric Analysis》编辑,主持组织国际学术会议多达9次,在国际期刊《Proceedings of American Mathematical Society》,《Mathematische Annalen》,《Journal of Functional Analysis》,《Advances in Mathematics》等上发表SCI学术论文32余篇。
