简介：Xinyuan Song is a professor in the Department of Statistics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research interests are latent variable models, nonparametric and semi parametric modeling, Bayesian methods, statistical computing, and survival analysis. She serves/served as an associate editor/editorial board member for several international journals in Statistics and Psychometrics, includingPsychometrika, Biometrics, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal,Journal of the Korean Statistical Society, andStatistical Theory and Related Fields. She has published over 100 papers in international journals. Her recent publications appeared inJournal of the American Statistical Association, Biometrika, Biometrics, and Psychometrika.
Recent Advances in Complex Data Analysis

This talk introduces several statistical modeling approaches for complex data analysis. Different statistical models, such as hidden Markov model, additive hazards model, and scalar-on-imaging regression model, are proposed to analyze multivariate longitudinal data, time-to-event data, and imaging data. The estimating equation method, EM algorithm, and Bayesian methods are used to conduct statistical inference. Applications to real-life studies are presented.
