蒋美跃教授简介:北京大学数学科学学院教授,博士生导师。主要研究方向为非线性分析。在Hamilton系统以及临界群理论等方面,都有重要的研究成果。    

报告摘要:The classical Minkowski theorem states: given a set of unit vectors u1;…; um in Rn and a set of positive numbers a1;… ; am > 0, there is an m-faced polytope in Rn such that its faces have outer normal u1;… ; um and corresponding face-areas a1; … ; am if and only if    

a1u1 + … + amum = 0:    

The Lp-Minkowski problem is a generalization of this classical theorem. The planar case can be considered as a discrete version of the equation    

u1−p(u′′+ u) = a(x); x∈S1;    

where a is a positive smooth 2π-periodic function. In this talk, we will present some existence results in the planar case.
